To begin your Open Water Scuba Diver course, you must obtain the online portion code from Scubarocks. It is essential to complete this section before proceeding to the next step, which involves participating in in-water skill-development training. The online portion allows you to master all the necessary academic information either online or at your local dive shop. You can complete this section at your convenience through self-study, either at home or in the office. Additionally, all eLearning courses are compatible with mobile and tablet devices.
SECTION 2:
The subsequent step for entry-level certification courses, as well as some continuing-education classes, is to participate in in-water skill-development training. This training occurs in a swimming pool or another confined water body, under the supervision of an Instructor. Before participating in this section, it is essential to complete the online portion.
SECTION 3:
Finally, to acquire your Open Water Scuba Diver certification, you need to complete the required number of open-water training dives under the guidance of your Instructor. These dives allow you to apply what you learned during your academic and skill-development sessions, while also gaining practical knowledge and experience that is unique to open water environments.
We have four different course options available to suit your needs:
Semiprivate: Our most popular course option, perfect for family and friends. You can customize your schedule, and the course generally takes two days (non-consecutive). It costs $689* per person and is available for students aged 10 and up, with up to four people per course.
Private: This course option offers a personalized one-on-one experience tailored to your specific needs. It lasts three days and can occur any day of the week, including weekdays and irregular hours. The cost is $1,399* per person and is available for students aged 10 and up.
Group Class: This option is ideal for larger groups of 6-8 people and costs $589* per person. It is available for students aged 16 and up.

If you have already completed your Open Water Scuba Diver course and want to explore more, then you can opt for the Advanced Adventure Diver course. This course offers an introduction to five different specialties, providing an opportunity to expand your knowledge and skills. The Deep Diver and Navigation Diver specialties are mandatory and considered the foundation of continued diver education. The remaining specialty dives include options such as Advanced Buoyancy Control, Altitude Diver, Boat Diver, Computer Nitrox Diver, Drift Diver, Marine Ecosystem Awareness, and many more.
The purpose of this course is to familiarize you with each of the five selected specialties, rather than achieving complete proficiency in any one of them. One dive from each specialty can count toward the completion of a specialty certification,

The Advanced Diver Program aims to produce highly skilled and competent divers. In this program, your instructor will guide you through four complete specialty courses, which can be chosen from the agency offerings.
These specialties may include Deep, Navigation, Photo, Video, Intro to Tech, Tender, and more. Throughout the program, you will cover all the essential skills and knowledge required to undertake similar dives independently with confidence.
Upon completing your 25th dive (including any training dives), bring your logbook and proof of completing four specialties to your local facility, and you will receive the Advanced Scuba Diver certification.
With the Advanced Scuba Diver certification, you will gain enhanced abilities and comfort in the water, preparing you for the Rescue Diver course.

The Sidemount Diver Course is designed for certified divers who prefer to use a sidemount cylinder instead of the standard back mount unit. To be eligible for the course, you must have completed the Open Water Scuba Diver or an equivalent certification and be at least 18 years old (or 15 with parental consent).
During the course, you will gain knowledge about gas management using independent cylinders, equipment considerations, cylinder and regulator options, buoyancy compensator device (BCD)/harness options, proper weighting, equipment configurations, communication, hand signals, problem solving, gas-sharing, gas hemorrhages, water entries, shore and boat techniques, and S-Drills specific to Sidemount. You will be required to demonstrate various skills such as planning dives, checking equipment, descending to planned depth, safely managing gas, controlling buoyancy, attaching Sidemount cylinders, performing gas switches, and safety stops.
Upon successful completion of the course, you will be allowed to engage in sidemount diving activities without direct supervision as long as you adhere to certain limits. These limits include safety stops, planned dives not exceeding your current certification level, and logging all dives. Additionally, the Sidemount Diver certification counts towards a single specialty rating to achieve the Advanced Diver Development program.
To obtain the Sidemount Diver certification, you must perform all land drills and open water dive requirements safely and efficiently, demonstrate mature, sound judgment concerning dive planning and execution, and log all dives.

The Inactive Diver/Refresher Program is crafted to refresh and assess the knowledge and skills of divers who have been inactive. It also serves as a catalyst for furthering education in diving.
Who this course is for: The certified diver who has been inactive for a period of time and wishes to review the scuba skills and academic information before starting to dive again.

The Computer Nitrox course teaches divers about the advantages of using nitrox as a breathing gas, suitable for both novice and seasoned divers. The program focuses on using nitrox blends containing 22 to 40 percent oxygen.

The Rescue Diver Course focuses on building the knowledge and skills needed to conduct effective diver rescues, provide first aid during emergencies, and assist those in need. Throughout the course, you will learn how to perform self and buddy rescues, recognize and calm panicked divers, administer appropriate first aid to those who have sustained dive-related injuries, conduct efficient search patterns, and manage accident scenes.
Once you complete the Rescue Diver Course, you can choose to enroll in the Master Scuba Diver Development Program or take your first step towards a career in diving by registering for the Divemaster Course.
