
Divemaster training develops leadership and supervisory skills for scuba diving. Participants assist instructors, guide certified divers, run dive orientations, and may teach certain refresher, discovery, and emergency response programs. The course builds hands-on experience and opens opportunities to work at dive centers, live-aboard boats, yachts, and resorts.

Minimum 40 logged dives.

The Assistant Instructor program trains divers to plan and deliver lessons in the classroom, pool, and open water. Participants assist instructors, lead certified divers, conduct orientations, and may teach select non-certification or emergency programs. The course provides practical teaching experience and professional diving opportunities.

Minimum 60 logged dives, including experience in night diving, deep diving, and underwater navigation.

The Open Water Scuba Instructor course prepares experienced dive professionals to independently teach and supervise entry-level and continuing education scuba programs. Through a structured development process, candidates refine their dive theory knowledge, instructional techniques, skill demonstration quality, and ability to manage students in both confined and open water environments.
The program focuses on organizing training sessions, presenting information clearly, conducting in-water skill development, and maintaining high standards of safety and risk management. Candidates also gain practical understanding of professional responsibilities, diver training standards, and the role of an instructor within the diving industry.
Successful completion of the program qualifies candidates to attend an Instructor Examination, which is required to obtain instructor certification.
• Divemaster certification or equivalent professional rating
• Certified diver for at least six months
• Minimum 60 logged dives to begin training
• Minimum 100 logged dives required before attending the Instructor Examination
• CPR and First Aid training completed within the past 24 months
• Medical clearance signed by a physician within the past 12 months
Emergency First Response Instructor certification is required for instructor certification and may be completed during the program.
